Our class assignment was to look at different apps on Google Chrome and find some apps we think could be useful for teachers and or students. In pairs we got a chance to look around choose apps we thought would be best. As a class we created a presentation and chose two apps we liked the best, added a description of the app and how it could be useful, then we presented and shared our apps with the class. Google Presentations is definitely a useful app for students, especially with collaborative presentations. Google Presentations applies to NETS Standard 2, which is communication and collaboration. With Google Presentations students can use digital media to communicate and work collaboratively. Students can interact, collaborate, and publish with peers or others. With Google Presentations students can communicate information and ideas using a variety of media and formats.

Our class assignment was to create a flyer on Microsoft Word to promote a club at school for students to join. My flyer was for a book club that meets on Monday's after school in my classroom. For my book club, students can bring in their favorite books to share with the group, or students can choose from all of the books I have! This type of flyer is great to know how to make for both teachers and students. For students, I can teach them how to create their own flyers to promote a team or club they are involved in. This assignment applies to the NETS Standard 2 b where students communicate information and ideas effectively to multiple audiences using a variety of media and formats.

Our class assignment was to create a newsletter for my classroom using Buncee. My newsletter is a back to school letter. In my newsletter I included a message from myself, to the parents/guardians. I also included my phone number and email so we can stay in contact. My newsletter also includes information about Back To School Night and encourages all parents/guardians to attend. Lastly, my newsletter lets parents/guardians about and upcoming field trip to a farm in October. Buncee is a great tool that would help keep parents/guardians involved and informed about what we have been working on in the classroom, and important upcoming events. Buncee would also be great for students to use to create their own newsletters. This assignment would apply to the NETS Standard 2 b, where students communicate information and ideas effectively to multiple audiences using a variety of media and formats.
